Total LandCare (TLC) and Bridge Carbon NbS Private Limited formally known as C-Quest Capital LL (CQC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to implement the Regenerative Agriculture and Forestry Technologies (RAFT) project in Malawi.

The objective is to restore landscapes and increase carbon stocks for the purpose of reducing emissions whilst improving the lives of rural communities in the targeted districts sites.

The project kicked off with a pilot to determine the potentiality of the project to succeed, build relationships and understanding with relevant stakeholders and communities to better establish a base for undertaking nature-based solutions.

The project is expected to run for 8 years from September 2023 but divided in three phases as follows;

- Pilot, expansion and monitoring plus benefit sharing.
- Bridge Carbon NbS Private Limited provides the funding.
- Provided on an annual basis aligned to planned activities.

The project targets five districts of Dowa, Dedza and Mchinji in the central region, Balaka and Mangochi in the southern region.
