Water, Sanitation and Health 

With financial backing from the Rotary Club of Powhatan in Richmond, Virginia, USA, Total LandCare (TLC) has been implementing a Water, Sanitation, and Health (WASH) initiative spanning nine years. The project's objective is to improve the health and wellbeing of the communities in the targeted district sites of Dedza, Mchinji and Mzimba.

This project targets specific catchment areas where the TLC-SURELIVES project, funded by Altria, implements sustainable livelihood activities tailored to the communities' needs and challenges. Beneficiaries of the Rotary Club WASH project also have access to multiple interventions being promoted by TLC.

This enables the project to benefit from the high demand for water and sanitation interventions and maximises available resources in terms of expertise, staff time, and transportation, leveraging synergies with SURELIVES and other TLC projects.
